The Many Faces of Terrorism

December 14, 2015 |  by  |  Affairs  |  No Comments

Many Faces TerrorismFor those of us of sound mind, it is merely a matter of paying attention and exercising common sense in order to realize that the unfortunate on-goings in this country are a growing trend. Through sheer observation, we know that most domestic terrorism is not perpetrated by radical Islamics, but by your everyday so-called “good ol’ boys.” Whether further afflicted with some mental disorders in association with xenophobia, religious intolerance, or sexism, this fact still remains. Fueling this particular brand of “patriotism” are rhetoric spewers like Donald Trump who recently stated that he is “the least racist person that you have ever met,” during his interview with CNN’s Don Lemon.

Despite his failure to deliver any actual policy measures or setting forth any real blueprints on exactly how he plans to “make America great again,” his growing number of supporters are amped by his narcissistic machoism and big talk. He gives absolutely no insight into social economics, yet he continues to rise in the polls with each bigoted, outrageous performance.

Whenever you blend fear, ignorance, and most of all hatred, people who lack an understanding of social affairs turn to the easiest solution, which is to practically reinstate segregation among the newest leagues of unfamiliars. Building a wall to keep out Mexicans and banning Muslims from entering the U.S. are not solutions, but likely responses from those who feel the need to assert themselves as the more powerful tribe.

So, Mr. Trump, what are we to do with the majority of the terrorists right here in the U.S.? Those who resemble yourself and who most likely agree with your politics? A poor solution is as worthless as no solution. So, what say you on the issue of white, self-proclaimed Christians killing their fellow Americans simply because they feel it’s their right to do so? There are too many faces of terrorism to stop at banning the minority of those responsible for this country’s downfall.
